The best part is that the simple dish only requires a handful of simple ingredients and cuts way down on the high amounts of sugar and salt found on a typical takeout menu.
With only a little prep time and 40 minutes in the oven, this sesame cauliflower will hit your plate and stomach in no time. Here’s exactly how to make it.
Vegan Sesame Cauliflower
1 small cauliflower
1/3 cup flour (can be gluten-free)
1/3 cup water
pinch of salt and pepper
pinch of garlic and onion powder
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
same size piece of ginger, grated
2 Tbsp brown sugar or maple syrup
1 Tbsp rice wine vinegar
1 Tbsp toasted sesame oil
1/2 cup veggie stock
1 tsp corn starch
1. Mix batter then coat cauliflower. Place in the oven at 350 degrees and spray with a little olive oil. Cook for 40 minutes or until golden brown.
2. Mix the sauce ingredients together and add to a pan. Bring to a boil, then stir in 1 tsp corn starch mixed with 1 Tbsp water. Turn the heat down to low until it reaches your desired thickness.
3. Once thick, coat cauliflower and serve.
