Cauliflower is nothing short of a superfood. It’s loaded with vitamins, fiber, and cancer-fighting compounds, not to mention incredibly versatile. Like, name a better substitute for everything from rice and wings to pizza crust. The low-carb staple also subs in for chicken in one of your favorite takeout staples.

Helen, the UK-based blogger behind The Plantiful Chef, recently shared her sesame cauliflower dish on Instagram, and it tastes just as good as the original—no chicken needed. The best part is that the simple dish only requires a handful of simple ingredients and cuts way down on the high amounts of sugar and salt found on a typical takeout menu.

With only a little prep time and 40 minutes in the oven, this sesame cauliflower will hit your plate and stomach in no time. Here’s exactly how to make it.

Vegan Sesame Cauliflower

1 small cauliflower
1/3 cup flour (can be gluten-free)
1/3 cup water
pinch of salt and pepper
pinch of garlic and onion powder

1 clove garlic, finely chopped
same size piece of ginger, grated
2 Tbsp brown sugar or maple syrup
1 Tbsp rice wine vinegar
1 Tbsp toasted sesame oil
1/2 cup veggie stock

1 tsp corn starch

1. Mix batter then coat cauliflower. Place in the oven at 350 degrees and spray with a little olive oil. Cook for 40 minutes or until golden brown.

2. Mix the sauce ingredients together and add to a pan. Bring to a boil, then stir in 1 tsp corn starch mixed with 1 Tbsp water. Turn the heat down to low until it reaches your desired thickness.

3. Once thick, coat cauliflower and serve.
