Simple snack idea = everything bagel avocado slices ?⠀ ⠀ I typically recommend a pair of macronutrients as a snack. For instance, and fat + carb, carb + protein, or protein + fat. This is good way to make sure your getting a variety of nutrients and will also help you feel more satisfied, especially than just eating a carbohydrate alone. ⠀ ⠀ But I get it, if you need something FAST and don’t want to have to think about food an hour later, make BFFs with healthy FATS. ⠀ ⠀ SOME EXAMPLES:⠀ ▫️1/2 an avocado⠀ ▫️spoonful of nut butter ⠀ ▫️handful of nuts or seeds⠀ ▫️1/2 cup coconut yogurt⠀ ⠀ The healthy fats are nutrient-dense. They turn off your hunger hormones and are extremely satisfying. You’ll find they curb your appetite and provide you with sustained energy. You won’t get hangry and it’ll hold you over till your next balanced meal. ⠀ ⠀ What’s your favorite fast fat snack?? #nourishedbynutrition ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀

8. Peanut Butter and Chocolate Stuffed Dates

9. Cinnamon Plantain Chips

For a crunchy snack that’s better for you than chips, slice up a couple plantains and bake them in the oven. After 40 minutes, you’ll have a satisfying treat to enjoy.

View this post on Instagram

There is nothing plain about PLANTAIN chips amiright?! I have been eating plantains in extreme amounts since #sibo. They’re low fodmap & safe on a Candida diet. Full of potassium and fiber, and a great replacement for potato chips. Just make sure they’re green ✅ . And I have to celebrate that I finally made a successful batch! ? Bucket list ✔️ The trick is to slice them so thin they’re almost shaved, 1/16” or thinner. I rolled mine in EVOO and black charcoal sea salt. But you can dress em up with squeeze of lime, add a little kick like cayenne (I can’t eat spicy but if I could…), make them sweet with some cinnamon, etc. Lay flat individually on a baking sheet and bake for about 40 mins at 350F until crispy light brown. If you have an air fryer I bet that would work too! . CRUNCHing today with finishing up my job and packing before we leave this week✨?? . Hope you all enjoy your night! . . . . . . #plantainchips #plantain #chips #healthychips #healthycooking #paleosnack #healthysnacks #paleorecipes #grainfree #lowfodmap #lowfodmapdiet #lowcarb #lowcarbhighfat #paleo #paleolifestyle #veganrecipes #veganfoodshare #sugarfree #snackideas #glutenfree #easyrecipes #spoonfeed #sibo #lyme #healthyeats #healthyrecipes #sugarfree #feedfeed #fitfood #bakefromscratch
