The World’s First Vegan Fried Chicken Restaurant Is Coming to London

Anyone who’s missed chicken — be it wings, fingers, or sandwiches — since going vegan is in for a treat. Temple of Seitan, a vegan street food company based in London, is opening the world’s first fried chicken shop. Yes, you read that right.

The popularity of Temple of Seitan has grown immensely since the company started popping up at food markets and events like VegFest, and now their famous KFC-style vegan eats are so in demand that opening up a restaurant was a must.

According to Fat Gay Vegan, their 100% vegan chicken shop is set to open in January 2017 in the London Borough of Hackney. They’re definitely offering food to-go, but there’s no word on whether this will be a sit-down restaurant or just a grab-and-go joint. One thing’s for sure, though: They will most definitely have everyone’s favorite menu items — everything from their Chick’n Strip Sub with Bac’n and Mayo to their mouth-watering mac and cheese and popcorn chicken.

Though Temple of Seitan’s shop is only set to open in the U.K. for now, this means big things for the rest of the world. Hopefully other vegan restaurants will follow their lead, but until then, we’ll just keep staring at these drool-worthy eats.
