You’re always making the most delicious vegan treats (cappuccino ice cream…enough said) for you and your friends, but the next time you get creative in the kitchen, you don’t have to leave your super good boy or girl out of the fun. It turns out plant-based recipes are just as drool-worthy for dogs are they are for their human companions.
Henry Firth and Ian Theasby, the plant-based recipe extraordinaires behind BOSH!, recently switched things up by crafting something specifically for fur babies. Their DIY Doggie Treats only require three simple ingredients: flour, peanut butter, and maple syrup. That’s it. Extra bonus: They’re so clean and tasty you can enjoy them, too.
“These really easy biscuits make a great snack for your dogs, and you can enjoy them at the same time if you want to,” they wrote on their website. “Just make sure the peanut butter is suitable for dogs. Peanut butter that contains artificial sweeteners can be harmful. Also be aware that dogs can be intolerant to wheat. If you’re not sure if yours is, ask your vet.”
After mixing the ingredients together and baking up the biscuits, they’ll be ready to cool and enjoy in minutes. It’s the perfect way to thank your pup for being amazing, all while supporting other animals who aren’t as lucky. And what’s not to love about that?
