Eggnog is currently available in every single grocery store you go in. And if you loved drinking it as a kid, it can be hard to skip out on the holiday favorite. The good news is you don’t have to. There’s a homemade vegan eggnog recipe you can make in seconds that will bring back all those feel-good memories.

Carleigh Bodrug, the recipe developer behind the Instagram account @PlantYou, shared her vegan eggnog recipe that’s made entirely of plants. Instead of being loaded with weird fillers and artificial ingredients like the varieties you’ll find in stores, this gives you the same great taste with five simple ingredients: coconut milk, dates, vegan milk, vanilla extract, and ground nutmeg.

After putting everything in a blender and combining until smooth, all you need to do is chill everything in the refrigerator for at least two hours. Then once you’re ready to drink it, Bodrug recommends sprinkling a little nutmeg on top for the perfect glass of dairy- and egg-free eggnog.
