It’s Official: Drinking a Mushroom-Loaded “Chagaccino” Is the Best Way to Start the Day

chagaccino recipe

You’ll never catch me in a coffee shop. As much as I love the thought of sipping on a warm, frothy latte, it’s not usually my…uhh..cup of tea. Five minutes after finishing, I’m basically bouncing off the walls for the rest of the day—and not in a good way. But after stumbling across this low-caffeine, mushroom-packed drink, I might have to change my ways.

Jordan Younger, the blogger behind The Balanced Blonde, recently shared one of her coziest staples on Instagram: a chagaccino. And the chaga mushroom and cappuccino combo is just as delicious as it is fun to say. For someone who can’t handle caffeine like me, it only contains 50mg—half of what you’ll find in a regular cup of coffee. On top of that, chaga mushrooms are known for their ability to help support immune function. You’ll have a nourishing drink to warm you up and reap some health benefits in the process.

If you want to make a chagaccino yourself, the process only takes a few minutes. Here’s exactly how to get your fix, no waiting in line at the coffee shop required.

Jordan Younger’s Frothy Chagaccino

Ingredients:

1 packet of Four Sigmatic’s Mushroom Coffee Latte Mix
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup flax milk (you can use coconut milk instead)
1 dropper liquid stevia
cinnamon
1 Tbsp of Moon Juice’s Vegan Collagen Protection (optional)

Instructions:

1. Blend, sip, and enjoy! To make it extra creamy, use a frother for the milk.
