There’s no longer a need to plan a road trip to St. Louis in order to take a big bite out of Burger King’s buzzy Impossible Whopper. Starting next week, all you’ll need to do is drive over to your local fast-food joint.
The Impossible Whopper has been being served in test cities for a while now, including St. Louis, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Miami, Baltimore, Columbus, GA, and Montgomery, AL. But Impossible Foods just announced the meatless patty will hit the menu at all 7,000+ Burger King locations across the United States starting August 8.
“We’ve heard great feedback and know the Impossible Whopper appeals to both current guests who are already big fans of the Whopper sandwich, as well as new guests who are excited about this new option.” —Chris Finazzo, president of Burger King North America
“We’re really excited to be able to offer our new Impossible Whopper to our guests across the country at an unbeatable value for a limited time,” said Chris Finazzo, president of Burger King North America, in a press release. “Since we first launched our market tests in St. Louis in April, and later in six other markets across the country, we’ve heard great feedback and know the Impossible Whopper appeals to both current guests who are already big fans of the Whopper sandwich, as well as new guests who are excited about this new option.”
Right now, that limited time is from August 8 to September 1. Then after that, if guests are into the $5.59 burger (which can be ordered without mayo to make it completely vegan), it’ll hopefully become a permanent menu item. Let the countdown begin.
